Tanist Technologies is hiring a Junior DevSecOps Engineer who will: 


Support a game changing software platform called "ODIN"  in support of USAF product development teams to deliver Platform DevSecOps capabilities through robust DevSecOps pipelines and containerized deployments to field operational capabilities faster. Our team is looking for a TS/SCI cleared and experienced  engineer with a broad technical background who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a highly collaborative, multi-contractor support team while also being embedded directly with government customers. This position  is remote, however, may require occasional support within a classified facility (depending on location). 


Responsibilities: 

  • Direct experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies and tooling.  
  • Apply automation best practices, such a Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and GitOps, for fast provisioning of environments
  • Configure, deploy and maintain Kubernetes platforms within cloud environments. 
  • Configure, deploy and maintain DevSecOps pipelines across multiple software languages in support of USAF software accreditation processes.  

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with demonstrated software experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience  in at least 1 software or scripting language. 
  • Demonstrated experience in working with the Linux operating system. 
  • Must be be a U.S. Citizen (DoD contract requirement)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with, guide, and collaborate across a multi-organizational and multi-disciplined team to deliver integrated solutions and mutually beneficial outcomes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Amazon Cloud or any other Cloud Service Provider (CSP).
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Gitlab or Jenkins.
  • Experience with container-based CI/CD pipelines and software processes.
  • Experience with Docker containers or Kubernetes. 
  • Although this position is remote, our ideal candidate will be located in Colorado and/or near a DoD facility for occasional SCIF access. 

Salary Range:  $80K to $110K (Dependent on experience)

  • Demonstrated ability to work with, guide, and collaborate across a multi-organizational and multi-disciplined team to deliver integrated solutions and mutually beneficial outcomes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Possess DoD 8570.01-M, IASAE Level II certification or higher
  • Experience with any of the following DevSecOps Tools: Gitlab, Sonarqube, Fortify, Prisma Cloud, Fortify, Anchore, OWASP. 
  • Experience with PlatformOne and/or Big Bang technologies or processes. 
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud, S-C2S or C2S.
  • Experience with DevSecOps running in air-gap or classified environments. 
  • Experience with IaC tooling such as Terraform or Ansible. 
  • Experience with container-based CI/CD pipelines and software processes.
  • Experience or certified in Kubernetes-based technologies (helm, kustomize, kubectl). 
  • Although this position is remote, our ideal candidate will be located in Colorado and/or near a DoD facility for occasional SCIF access. 

Salary Range:  $125K to $180K (Dependent on experience)

  • Configure, deploy and maintain various DevSecOps services across multiple classification levels (Unclassified, Secret, Top Secret). 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree (STEM) and 5 Years Experience (Degree requirements can be substituted for additional years of experience)
  • Demonstrated experience in Amazon Web Services and primary Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings to include at a minimum VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, and IAM.
  • Demonstrated experience  in at least 1 software or scripting language. 
  • Demonstrated experience in working with the Linux operating system. 
  • Must be at least Top Secret SCI Eligible and be a U.S. Citizen (DoD contract reqt)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with, guide, and collaborate across a multi-organizational and multi-disciplined team to deliver integrated solutions and mutually beneficial outcomes.

Desired Qualifications:

Tanist Technologies is hiring a Test and Integration Engineer who will: 


Provide Developmental/ Operational Test (DT/OT) and System Integration expertise in support of large and diverse system/application development efforts for our Government Clients.  You will work closely with mission operation teams/users, system/application developers and system program offices to develop initial capability requirements through operational acceptance and deployment. Successful candidates will have DoD testing and test-oriented integration experience, excellent communication and team skills, and will be expected to continually balance work priorities to meet rapidly evolving customer needs and tight deadlines. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, execute, analyze, report, perform and oversee test/integration activities to enable operational acceptance of software applications and systems including: 
  • factory, Government-led developmental and operational, and enterprise system-of-systems test planning and strategy development. 
  • developmental, operational, and enterprise test coordination. 
  • coordination among developers, Government, mission partners, stakeholders, and enterprise test organizations. 
  • test results analysis, performance analysis, and concise reporting. 
  • coordinate Government and contractor test integration activities with interfacing mission partners, systems, and applications throughout the full life cycle. 
  • perform test-oriented project support to enable integration of space systems/mission applications 
  • continually balance work priorities to meet rapidly evolving customer needs and tight deadlines.  
  • directly interface with operations Crews, development teams, program office and commands to define initial system/application requirements through operational acceptance and deployment of a capability. 
  • support continuous capability improvement and integration leveraging DevSecOps/agile methodologies. 


Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree (STEM) and 5 Years DoD developmental/Operation test experience 
  • 5 Years space system or related system/application integration experience 
  • 5 Years Government acquisition experience 
  • Clearance required to start: Top Secret/SCI 
  • Must be willing to submit to a Polygraph 
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other government agencies and mission partners  
  • Demonstrated ability to work with, guide, and collaborate across a multi-organizational and multi-disciplined team to deliver integrated solutions and mutually beneficial outcomes 


Salary Range:  $120K to $165K
